” When Delcie Lam of Whisk and FOld says her aim is “for them to rise”. she’s not talking about the cakes, muffins and tarts that her baking studio sells. The managing director is referring to the bakers that the studio represents – Whisk and Fold is a sort of platform that offers home bakers a legal channel to make and market their products (by law, this cannot be done from home). ” It’s a sort of community for aspiring bakers,” explains Ms Lam, who quit her job as an art director last year and officially launched the baking studio last month. “All of us have come out from home and are not professionals. With this platform, we hope to build a reputation for ourselves.”
