Coming up…Green Project

Currently, we are in the mist of planning our upcoming green project for Delcie’s.

The whole idea of this Green Project is to help save our environment by recycling our packaging waste i.e. the cups and our carrier bags.

This is a suggestion that was brought up by Thila and we felt that this is a great idea! I’ve always wanted to contribute to the environment and with Delcie’s, this is a great opportunity for me to help play a part (even if it’s a litter part).

Our green plan is to reward our customers with a little token when we collect their cups back upon their next purchase. Thereafter, their cups will be brought to a recycling factory/plant to process the plastic waste.

None of the collected cups will be reused as we understand that there will be concerns on food hygiene. However, if our customers requested us to reuse their returned cups for their next purchase, we will be delighted to do so!

Currently, there are still many outstanding matters and loose ends to tie up, hence we will not be giving any finalised details until this project’s launch day.

Our Special Crust Recipe

Delcie\'s Special Forumla

Like any basic cheesecakes, they come with a nice, crunchy crust at the bottom. At Delcie’s, we created a special formulated low-fat crust that is not that basic into our cheese mousse desserts.

Many of our friends love it!

As for our special recipe, it’s a secret…. you have got to try it yourself!

Before I end this post, here is a basic recipe for any basic cheesecake crust.

Ingredients:
3 pieces of digestive biscuits (crushed)
1tbsp of icing sugar
2tbsp of melted butter

You need:
1 baking sheet/pan
Pre-heat over at 140 degree Celsius

Directions:
Mix the crushed digestive biscuits and icing sugar together.
Next add melted butter and mix with a fork until completely even.
Press mixture into a baking sheet and put to bake at 140 degree Celsius for 15mins.
