It was a lovely Saturday afternoon on 26th July 2008 . We arrived in the early afternoon and prepared for our launch tea-party at Sanctuary Green.
One by one, our guests arrived. Old friends; secondary school buddies, poly-mates and ex-colleagues, all caught up with each other.
We also made new friends. We shared jokes and laughed while enjoying Delcie’s desserts in our hands. It was really tiring but everything was worth it to create an enjoyable afternoon for everyone.
We received many valuable feedbacks, comments and suggestions on how to improve our desserts and to develop the business. All of which are equally important and we will definitely consider.
Thank you to all who attended our launch party and for being our pillar of support. At Delcie’s, we do not have customers but we have many supportive great friends.
Here, I would like to extend our warm gratitute to our friends who helped us out unconditionally on that day…
To Kannan, thank you for your valuable suggestions, for being our driver, for the preparation of our satay, for handling the re-fills, helping us entertain our guests and coming back the next day to help us again at the flea market.
To Jenny, thank you for peparing the food, for keeping things in order, for encouraging our guests to try the desserts and for keeping up the excitment during the party.
To Adelene, thank you for being the first to offer to help, for helping us entertain the guests, for the preparation of our satay, for providing the serving bowls and dishes and coming back the next day to help us again at the flea market.
To Ashvin, thank you for being a fantastic MC and coordinator for the whole afternoon, for helping us set the tables and keeping everyone entertained and happy with your crazy personality.
To Jo, thank you for helping us unconditionally throughout the party, for the preparation of the drinks, as well as setting up and cleaning up after the party.
To Gladys, thank you for your pre-orders and buying off a box of 16 cups on the spot. It was also sweet of you to join us again on Sunday’s flea market.
To Samuel Sam, thank you for buying off a box of 16 cups on the spot for your pub’s friends.
To Mavis and Ryan, thank you for your “open business” ang bao donation to the fund.
To Deneng and Lydia, thank you for your border’s gift card, it definitely comes in handy when I need to purchase some business guide books to help develop Delcie’s.
To Suki’s friend who bought off 3 cups from the table, thank your for your support and donating the change for our fund.
To River, thank you for inviting all your international friends from Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore to our party. It was nice to have them with us and hope they had enjoyed themselves.
And to the rest of our guests who took your precious Saturday’s afternoon time-off for us, we thank you from the bottom of our heart, for your support and for attending our party.
It was indeed a pleasure to have all of you with us on Saturday. We hope you had enjoyed yourselves.
