Preparing Strawberries for Desserts.

This is extremely simple to make for any form of desserts. You can sprinkle these strawberries over your ice-cream or yogurt and even as ingredients in your cakes or sandwiches.

The following is a step-by-step instruction on preparing the strawberries which is used in Delcie’s “Lost In Love” cheese mousse.

 
1. First, remove the leaves from the strawberries.

 
2. Cut off the stem (top portion of the strawberries).

 
3. Wash the strawberries under running tap to remove dirt and soil. Do not soak strawberries in water as doing so may dissolve the multi-vitamins and minerals in the fruit.

 
4. Chopped strawberries into cubes form.

 
5. Add reasonable amount of icing sugar into chopped strawberries to enhance the sweetness depending on your personal preference.

6. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice (for 10 strawberries) into the mixture and mix well. Lemon juice is used here as a form of short-term preservative. The acid found in lemon or lime helps to slow down the enzymes in the strawberries that cause degradation.

 
7. After mixing, we’re done!
