I received a forwarded email from Kannan and because he knows I’m half the time at a high stress level. He decided that it was best that I read this advice and share it with my readers.
Stress in life is the worst killer.
Don’t take your work to your house. Leave your work at your work place. And try your best not to discuss about your workloads and depressing situations in the office after YOUR OFFICE HOURS.
Unfortunately, it isn’t that easy for me as I can never do my administrative work in the shop. In the end, I’ll have to bring them home after the shop closes at 10pm. Plus, I have no off days to fully focus on all these errands! =(
So as the saying goes: “self-employed is being an employee to yourself.”
This is so true! But I always tell myself to look further than now. What exactly is my vision for my business at the end of the day?
I have never foresee myself to stay in the kitchen for the rest of my business life. Instead, in the first place, I have always wanted the marketing and business development role in my own business.
So my next step is to make sure my business foundation is right, then I will free myself from the kitchen to focus on what I really want to do. For this to happen, I’ll probably foresee another 9-12months?
Building a business isn’t as easy as ABC. We can’t expect to see results overnight and be impatience about it. However, with the right foundation, you’ll be able to see a brighter future. =)
So what is stress.
BUT WAIT! Before I end, I would like to admit that stress is never a good thing. Each of us should know how to handle our stress level by staying positive, eat healthy and exercise to maintain a better lifestyle.
May I wish everyone a stressless lifestyle!

Hey Delcie, hang on in there. One of my boss and bestest mentors once told me before, as i was facing troubles being self-employed and running my own business:
“Do not despise your beginnings, for these are beginnings to greatness, for we aspire to pursue what we truly want.”
So jiayou!

Thanks Nigel & Louise! This quote is going to be keeping me and the other bakers who are in The Magic Oven community baking project inspired and going on. =))
Hope both of you would come on board soon and join in the fun!
Hi Delcie, stress is just a component in life.. no matter what you do you’ll still be faced with stress. Even doing nothing can be stressful for all you know.. But whats most important is being stress for something you are truly passionate about… at the end of the long, hard road.. it can be pretty rewarding!! =)
