Are the food they put into their mouth safe for consumption? Did the chef wash his hands after visiting the loo? Did he taste the food with his fingers and dipping back again after savouring the finger 360 degree with his tongue? Are the fondant decoration on the cupcakes being moulded with fingers with manicure? So many scary questions which I don’t even want to know the answers.

This is why the current bakers and future bakers at The Magic Oven are being so enthusiastic about baking in a licenced kitchen. We put ourselves through the proper food handler course to ensure whatever we were doing wrong previously were corrected for the sake of our customers.

So our customers can be assured that the home-baked quality food that they get from us are clean

For the month of March 09, Delcie’s Desserts and community bakers of The Magic Oven are going to the Halal food fair 2009! We are very privileged to be invited by the Halal organizer to participate in this coming food fair. Given that this is a very last minute decision made together with The Magic Oven’s bakers, we decided to give it a shot to tap into the Halal market. Don’t think there’s no price to pay for this event. As the saying goes, “there is no free lunch in this world”. =P Nonetheless, given the price we pay to get a good booth, we believe that even if we don’t break-even our rental, we will take this as a fun-filled and bonding event for ourselves with our friends and family. Moreover, this is definitely a great platform for us to gain valuable experience in the food industry.

There will be lots of activities on stage during the 4 days of the exposition and Delcie’s Desserts will be involved interactively with the organizer’s programmes specially organized for the visitors.

We will also be doing our product demos on stage together with the celebrities, to promote both our desserts and community baking project to the audiences. This round, there will be an estimated 25,000 visitors over the whole 4 days duration.

To hype-up our Delcie’s Desserts presence in the exposition, we will be giving 5% discount for all on-site purchase and pre-orders of our desserts and cakes. *SPECIAL* If you were to purchase both Delcie’s Desserts and The Magic Oven’s baker, GiLaLapis, pastries together, you’ll get and additional 10% off on all purchase!

Also the organizer’s emcee, Khairuddin Samsuddin, from SURIA, will be doing quizzes on stage and winners will get discount vouchers where they can use it to buy our desserts from our booth.

This Halal fair is organized not just for the Muslims community but also for the non-Muslims as well! Besides us, there will be other vendors selling varies products ranging from frozen, dried, canned food, fast food, fresh produce food, poultry, snacks, bakery, chocolates, food packaging, food wares, kitchenware and many others!

PLUS PLUS PLUS! Besides our wonderful cheese mousse desserts and lapis cakes, we will also be selling Halal Chicken/Mutton/Beef Glutinous Rice wrapped in leaf!
