On both Saturday and Sunday, we were the first to pack up and leave Singapore Expo Hall 6. The Halal Fair organizer even gave me a panic call to find out what happened to us. Our stall was practically closed and there was nothing left to sell!

I sincerely apologise to our dear customers and friends who came to support but found no one there. Still, if you need any desserts, we’re still working hard to bake for any pre-orders.

Many heartful thanks to my dear friends, Adelene and Cindy, and my little brother, Robin, for forking out their valuable time to be with me over the weekends. Also, my appreciation also goes out to our fans and friends who came down to support us. Though I thought my feet were sore from the standing, but all were fun and the interaction with the crowd was fantastic! Best of all, the whole family team of GiLaLapis were also there to support throughout the four days event!

I didn’t expect that we’ll be able to pull this off within such a short notice but I supposed our presentation and effort went through pretty okay. I hope our customers would see how much effort we’ve put into each desserts and cakes that were sold that day.

As we had put up posters and notices calling out to all the home-bakers who wish to step-out and work in a licensed bakery, there were many enquires made during the event. To sum up, we’re really privilege to be there participating in this Halal Fair 2009. The bakers of The Magic Oven are all looking forward to our next food show in June/July.
