” When Delcie Lam of Whisk and FOld says her aim is “for them to rise”. she’s not talking about the cakes, muffins and tarts that her baking studio sells. The managing director is referring to the bakers that the studio represents – Whisk and Fold is a sort of platform that offers home bakers a legal channel to make and market their products (by law, this cannot be done from home). ” It’s a sort of community for aspiring bakers,” explains Ms Lam, who quit her job as an art director last year and officially launched the baking studio last month. “All of us have come out from home and are not professionals. With this platform, we hope to build a reputation for ourselves.”

Did I mention about my other family in BNI?

I’ve made alot of friends over the one year and being in this family definitely nurture me into a dynamic person. I remember I was a shy and quiet girl when I first visited Dynamic Chapter. But because the people there were all so friendly and welcoming, I can’t help but be relaxed and open myself to them.

In the photo above, I was presented the best 60s Sales Manage for last term by the Vice President. Every week, we are supposed to give a 60 sec sales presentation to the group (like public speaking) to impress everyone and to sell my products. With that, a number of weekly awards were collected and consolidated. In the end, I collected the most award over the last 6 months and won myself this award before the end of last term.

Best of all, I was elected to be the new president for this new term! Definitely a proven example on how this network can transform a quiet girl to a girl who can speak publicly. Nonetheless, I’m still learning every week!
