Being our first virgin bake sales at the Farmers’ Market, it was an eye-opener. The vendors were all so welcoming, the customers were so friendly and the entire street was buzzing with activities the entire morning! If you’ve missed out on this one, try coming for the next one to see for yourself!

This is a totally random shot (must be too tired from the baking that I took it upside down). We were trying to bake so hard for this market the day before.

This was taken at 8.55am in the morning. The early birds were already starting to grab the fresh buys.

Let’s zoom into the cupcakes. They are our Gluten Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free & Organic cupcakes! The kids simply can’t take their eyes of these and parents couldn’t refused their temptation. Definitely a trap for all ages! ;P

How can we ever miss our signature Mud Fudge Cake? These are Delcie’s Gluten Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free, Organic Chocolate Mud Fudge cake that melts in your mouth. Made with 70% dark organic chocolate, these soy-free delectable are bound to set you coming back for more! We have customers bagging home more than 4 slices each leaving the rest with little to enjoy. SOLD OUT!

With our sugar free mooncakes by the side, those with a quick eye would spot our on-site promotion! Those bagging them home were surprisingly not local Chinese but the foreign expats who truly enjoy our local culture of mooncake feasting. They can’t stop telling us how great our mooncake taste compared to those they had tried from the hotels. ;P

In year 2010, Delcie’s resolution is to present all our customers more goodies, that are not just baked with my heart and soul, but also baked with nutritional ingredients and definitely guilt-free.

To kick start this year, I have just received a wonderful news from MUIS that our Halal application has been approved! To sum up, we are officially Halal Certified! This is really hard-work paid off with all the help of our Muslim Lapis bakers, Roslan and Zaleha.

Coming soon, Delcie’s will be launching our very own melt-in-your-mouth CNY goodies such as Pineapple Roll, Pineapple Tart, Green Pea Cookies and Almond Suji. Plus, the best part is that they are all egg-less, which means our cookies are low in cholesterol! Suitable for vegetarian too.

Stay tune as I will be posting up the photos of our unique packaging and instead of the red covers that are used by many vendors, we managed to get our hands on GOLD covers. The best part of all is that I have created a nice red gift box that is exquisite enough to present to your friends, relatives, your boss and even your mother-in-law!

So who says CNY cookies is sinful and traditional?

At Delcie’s, we made them guilt-free and presentable.

I walked around aimlessly in my kitchen, breaking out in cold sweat, while melting my chocolate. I think the sweating part should be partially because the kitchen was hot with the heating.

I couldn’t sleep the night before… well, not exactly because I was nervous for Monday but it was that tiny, pity-looking, lizard that kept me awake half the time. -.-”

(I’m so living in denial)

Anyway, what is the BIG deal about Monday?

I had an interview with RazorTV.

Around 1 month ago, the host emailed me asking for my interest to be part of her 6 episodes desserts programme on RazorTV. I thought it was a privilege thing to be invited to speak about Delcie’s Desserts. So, I agreed.

In the end, I realised it wasn’t that difficult to speak in front of the camera after all because the host, Eva, made me feel really comfortable speaking to her. It’s like how Eva convinced her soft-natured self to speak boldly in front of the camera. “I pretend that the camera is my friend”, she said. So I must have pretended that Eva was a friend. However, true enough, she does sound like an old-friend whom I can connect with immediately without trying too hard.

Anyway – I’m so glad the interview was over but the anticipation just kicks in again for tomorrow where I will appear in video on RazorTV website!

I hope my video doesn’t promote negative viral *hush hush* (Ris Low’s Video). I just realised that the interviewer in the video is Eva!

Hmmm~ I hope I don’t turn out like that. I’m crossing my fingers real tight now and I will probably tape them together before I head to sleep after this.

In fact, I can understand Ris Low’s situation because there was no CUT and RETAKE for the interview at all! Once you did it and said the wrong thing, that’s it. Hurhur! Perhaps, Ris Low was really cold and nervous when the RazorTV camera was rolling. I guess that might had caused her tounge twisting moments. So people, please give her a break and let her have her Kit Kat.

Many customers wonder why don’t we make Tiramisu. Many has been requesting for it but sadly, I have to turn them away as Tiramisu, if made without the alcohol, isn’t a 100% Tiramisu.

If you’re wondering why our desserts are strictly “no-alcohol”, well, that’s because our desserts are made with Halal cream cheese and we would like to keep it that way to cater for the Muslim fans.

So after many months of searching, I finally found the solution!

*drums rolling* May I present to you our Non-alcoholic Tiramisu!

In every cup, you’ll find our self-created low-fat based crust, followed by a pound cake dipped in coffee syrup. Surrounding the cake is our signature coffee cheese mousse tingle with a pinch of non-alcoholic Brandy.

Order is strictly based on request only although some of our customers had already gotten their hands on our first batch. =P

Along side-by-side with Pastamania and Donut Empire logo is our Delcie’s Desserts logo!
