Just last Friday after my meeting with Catherine, a home baker which is interested in being part of our community baking project, I recieved this mooncake from my supplier.
When Catherine was sharing about her experience in making flaky mooncakes during her younger days, I was already dripping saliva thinking about my favourite mooncake with double yolks .

I bet it must be the Law of Attraction that draws the mooncake to me. It was indeed very kind of my supplier to visit me with a box of 4 beautiful flaky mooncakes although he did mentioned he has 100 boxes of these mooncakes given by his client but it’s impossible to finish them all by himself. LOL! So in the end, he has no choice but to give them away. May he has good Karma for doing that.
If I’m not wrong, this should be the Cantonese version of mooncake. (please correct me if I’m wrong).
Besides being mesmerised by the soft colours and flakiness of the pastry skin, I couldn’t wait to rip knife off the pack and start slicing for yolks!YUMMY!
